Strong Sales Continue at Honda |

3rd September, 2004 Honda Australia continues to build sales momentum with a total of 3244 vehicles sold in August, bringing year-to-date sales to 24,906 units. Following on from two consecutive record-breaking months in June and July, the result sets the company well on track to beating its 2004 target of 36,000 units. Starring for Honda in August was the Accord with 1031 sales, followed by the CR-V with 831 units and the Jazz on 584 units. Thanks to a blend of equipment and value for money, the newly-launched Odyssey continued its strong showing in the people-mover market with 289 units sold. Proving that winter can be a great time to enjoy open air motoring, five of Honda’s high-revving, convertible S2000s were sold in August. The strength of the Honda brand in 2004 can be seen by the 5241 unit increase over 2003’s year-to-date figures. “This result shows the value built into each and every Honda motor vehicle,” said Honda Australia Director Lindsay Smalley. “The Accord range continues to offer the best value for money in the prestige segment, and the well-appointed Odyssey is kicking goals in the people mover segment.”
