Value-Packed Holden Epica Pricing Announced

Pricing was announced today following Epica’s debut at the Brisbane Motor Show. On sale in April 2007, Epica offers a choice of either a 2.0 or 2.5 litre in-line six
cylinder engine and a five-speed manual or five-speed automatic transmission, depending on
model. The 2.0-litre Epica CDX manual variant will retail from $25,990 (RRP), the 2.5-litre CDX
automatic from $27,990 (RRP) and the 2.5-litre CDXi automatic from $30,990 (RRP). An optional pack featuring leather trim with two colour options (CDXi only) will retail
for $32,990 (RRP). GM Holden Marketing Manager Medium Cars, Teresa Basile, said Epica’s sharp pricing
represented outstanding value for money. “Epica has very impressive standard specification, a refined ride, stylish fit and
finish and generous interior space. We expect it to be a great alternative to vehicles
currently in the mid-size sedan segment,” Ms Basile said. “Interest in Epica was very strong at the Brisbane International Motor Show with a
high level of inquiries flowing through to dealerships.” The 2.0-litre engine produces peak power of 105 kW and peak torque of 195 Nm. The 2.5
litre engine produces peak power of 115 kW and peak torque of 237 Nm. All models meet Euro
IV emission standards. Epica’s impressive fuel economy (ADR 81/01) is 8.2 litres/100km for the 2.0-litre manual
variant and 9.3 litres/100km for the 2.5-litre automatic.
