Holden Captiva Enhanced By Extra Features

Holden's popular mid-size SUV, the Captiva, is about to get even better with a range of new standard features that will enhance its position as a highly specified, flexible package that offers outstanding value for money. The upgraded Captiva will be in showrooms by the end of this month and will boast standard features including curtain airbags on the SX and rear parking sensors on the CX, LX and MaXX. GM Holden's Marketing Director, Philip Brook, said the feature additions would further strengthen Captiva's market position. "We're confident these product changes will boost Captiva's showroom appeal even more and provide customers with increased functionality," Mr. Brook said. "Captiva continues to establish its strong position in the medium SUV segment by offering flexibility, performance, value and a very popular turbo diesel option. We believe this product is clearly challenging traditional SUV thinking and is a point of difference in the segment." Since its launch in Australia in 2006, Captiva sales have grown to capture a 14 per cent share of the medium SUV segment (year to date), with the new diesel variant currently accounting for 50 per cent of Captiva sales. To accommodate these product changes, the recommended retail price (RRP) of each model will increase by $1,000.
