Holden has recorded a 24 per cent jump in sales in February 2010 compared to the same month last
year according to figures released today by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries.
The figures show Australians purchased a total of 11,213 Holdens during February, with Commodore
Australia’s best selling car overall (3,914 sold) and Captiva Australia’s best selling SUV (1,315
sold).
Holden’s Executive Director of Sales and Marketing John Elsworth said Cruze (2,075 sold), Barina
(1,292 sold) and Colorado (1,241 sold) also returned solid sales results.
“We started the year with good sales in January so we’re happy to see the momentum continuing
through into February,” Mr Elsworth said.
“Holden’s market share sits at 13.8% year to date and we’re rapt Australians are placing our
cars on top of their shopping lists. Our plan remains pretty simple – keep building fantastic cars and
offering outstanding value,” Mr Elsworth said.
