GM Will Debut Six All-new Vehicles At Chicago Motor Show

General Motors Corporation will stage the world debut of six all-new 2005 vehicles from its Buick, Chevrolet and Pontiac-GMC divisions at the Chicago Motor Show on Friday 6th February 2004.

The company continues to revitalize its brands with compelling new products.

GM's show exhibit will feature the all-new Buick LaCrosse premium sedan; the Chevrolet Uplander and Pontiac Montana SV6 crossover sport vans; the premium GMC Envoy Denali, Envoy XL Denali and Sierra Crew Cab Denali; and the Pontiac Vibe with its mid-cycle enhancement.

"These important introductions build on GM's promise to introduce 28 new vehicles in 2004," said Gary L. Cowger, president of GM North America. "GM will address a wide range of segments and numerous markets with these new vehicles."

The new 2005 GM offerings making their world debut at the Chicago show are:

• 2005 Buick LaCrosse -- Designed to reshape Buick's midsize passenger car lineup, the Buick LaCrosse features a totally new look and improved performance.
• 2005 Chevrolet Uplander -- Combining compelling SUV-like styling plus family-friendly capabilities, the Chevrolet Uplander takes the mid-van segment in a new direction.
• 2005 GMC Envoy Denali and Envoy XL Denali -- Luxury and performance-oriented traits abound in GMC's 2005 Envoy Denali and Envoy XL Denali SUVs, making the Denali level of refinement available to a new group of customers.
• 2005 GMC Sierra Crew Cab Denali -- Upscale amenities distinguish GMC's 2005 Sierra Crew Cab Denali while maintaining Sierra's half-ton pickup capabilities.
• 2005 Pontiac Montana SV6 -- Responsive performance and segment-leading entertainment choices distinguish the Pontiac Montana SV6, with its SUV look and mid-van capability.
• 2005 Pontiac Vibe -- Restyling and new optional features characterize the contemporary performance look of the '05 Pontiac Vibe, as well as other recently introduced Pontiac models that are part of Pontiac's performance renaissance.

After the L.A. show, GM used the Detroit Motor Show as its platform for introducing several more vehicles: the 2005 Chevrolet Corvette, the 2006 Pontiac Solstice roadster, the 2005 Pontiac G6 sports sedan, the racing version of the 2004 Cadillac CTS-V and the Saturn Curve and Chevy Nomad concept cars.
