Ford Australia has announced Manufacturer's List
Pricing* (MLP*) for the latest additions to the MC Mondeo range, which will be powered by the Ford
Motor Company's patented high-efficiency EcoBoost engine technology.
Mondeo will spearhead the local launch of this new generation, high-performance yet fuel-saving
engine technology, which uses direct injection and turbocharging to deliver more power and
performance from a lower displacement powerplant, while still delivering impressive fuel economy
and reduced CO2 emissions.

“Our new family of Ford EcoBoost petrol engines, which are being rolled out around the globe,
represent a key element of Ford Motor Company's global 'Blueprint for Sustainability',” Bob
Graziano, President & CEO, Ford Australia said.
“We believe that these engines will provide customers with a genuinely attractive alternative
to diesel or hybrid power units, delivering highly competitive fuel economy and cost-of-ownership,
along with the responsive performance and wide rev range that have made petrol engines the favoured
choice for so many drivers.”
On sale in July, the 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine will be available on Mondeo Zetec and Titanium
hatch models, replacing the previous 2.3-litre Duratec petrol engine.

The 2.0-litre EcoBoost engine has a maximum power output of 149 kW at 6,000 rpm (1), combined with
peak torque of 300 Nm (1) across a broad 1,750-4,500 rpm range, which represents a 26 per cent
improvement in power and a 44 per cent increase in torque.
Yet even with this level of performance, fuel economy and CO2 emissions achieved by the EcoBoost
engine are significantly improved.
Compared with the previous 118 kW 2.3-litre automatic powertrain, combined fuel economy has been
reduced by 16 per cent to 8.0L/100 km (2), while CO2 emissions are down by over 17 per cent to 187
g/km (2).
The EcoBoost engine is matched to a new Ford PowerShift six-speed dual clutch automatic
transmission that is specifically calibrated to take advantage of the engine’s power curve, providing
drivers with a powertrain that combines performance and efficiency with supreme refinement.
(1) All performance data measured using 95 RON fuel.
(2) Figures obtained from controlled tests using ADR 81/02.
NOTE: * Manufacturer's List Price (MLP) excludes dealer delivery fees and the numerous statutory
charges (commonly known as on-road costs). Additionally, please note that all prices, fees and charges are
subject to change without notice, as are the specifications.
