Ford Performance Vehicles Go Green! |
Ford's new green |
17th May, 2004 The Envi of All OthersFPV will introduce Envi – a new metallic green – to its colour chart from late May, adding another dimension to the range of high-impact performance colours. It is the first time a bright green has been available on the FPV GT since the re-birth of the iconic Australian high-performance car last year. FPV is confident Envi will become popular with its customers following the recent sales success of colours such as Blood Orange, Blueprint and Citric Acid. Blood Orange has been the most popular colour for FPV GT and GT-P customers to date. Almost one in every five FPV sedans sold since March 2003 have been Blood Orange. “We have been overwhelmed by the response to the range of bright colours we introduced with the GT, GT-P and Pursuit,” David Flint, Managing Director of Ford Performance Vehicles, says. “It is obvious our customers not only want to enjoy driving the ultimate Australian high-performance car, but they also want to stand out from the crowd. “Envi seems destined to follow the popularity of our other bright colours.” Envi will be available with optional black stripes. All FPV models are powered by the high-tech Boss 290 quad cam V8 engine – the only V8 to be developed, engineered and built in Australia. FPV is a joint venture operation between Ford Australia and Prodrive, one of the world’s leading motorsport and automotive engineering companies, and is based in Melbourne, strategically located close to Ford Australia’s main assembly plant in Broadmeadows. |
