6th March, 2005 Ford Australia has dramatically increased the value equation of the BA Falcon MkII with the release of a special edition at the 2005 Melbourne International Motor Show. The Falcon MkII SR builds on the outstanding value for money credentials of the award-winning Falcon XT with a host of customer-oriented features. "Inspired by the awesome Falcon V8 Supercar that finished 1-2 in the 2004 championship, Falcon SR offers a sporting flavour that represents awesome value," Ford Australia Marketing and Sales Vice President Bruce McDonald said. The exterior of the Falcon SR is enhanced with a V8 Supercar-inspired sports body kit, high arched rear wing spoiler and 17" seven-spoke alloy wheels. A unique 'SR' badge completes the sports exterior look, while the Sports Control Blade Independent Rear Suspension (IRS) is added to the mechanical package. Inside, the story is just as impressive with the inclusion of a sports style leather wrapped steering wheel, the Ford prestige audio system with six-disc CD player and rear power windows. The Falcon SR MkII boasts unique designer sports seats and door trims available in three different colours – red, blue and grey. "All these features come on top of the MkII upgrade which added customer friendly features such as cruise control and automatic headlamps to the value-packed XT. "The value equation in the Falcon SR MkII is sensational with more than $6000 worth of extra value for a recommended retail price of $35,255*," Mr McDonald said. Falcon SR will be available at Ford dealerships from March until the end of July, 2005. *Excluding dealer delivery and statutory charges |
