Winnebago will use the South Australian Caravan and
Camping Show (23rd-28th February 2010) to launch its latest model, the Winnebago Eyre, based on the
Fiat Ducato platform.
Built on the AL-KO chassis variant of the Fiat Ducato, the Winnebago Eyre is able to combine an
unusually low overall height – just 2.75 metres – with a spacious, flexible interior that includes
such notable features as an island double bed, a spacious kitchen, seating for four people and
provide separate shower and toilet facilities.
Named after Lake Eyre, a haven for getting off the beaten track amongst motor home owners, the
Winnebago Eyre includes a level of self contained equipment that will enable its owners to get
almost as far as Edward John Eyre, the man after which the lake is named and who, in 1839, explored
the inland of South Australia as well as being the first European to traverse the Nullarbor Plain
and the Great Australian Bight.

Meanwhile, on the beaten track, the combination of its low height and the powerful drivetrain with
the 3.0 litre Turbo Diesel engine and MTA gearbox, make this one of the easiest to drive and
manoeuvrable motor homes in this size category.
Family owned and 100% Australian, Winnebago Industries is Australia’s No. 1 motor home
manufacturer. Established in 1965, Winnebago locally designs and manufactures a wide range of motor
homes and campervans at its state of the art motorhome factory in Emu Plains, on the western
outskirts of Sydney. All Winnebago motor homes and campervans comply with all Australian Government
design and safety regulations across their entire range.
