1961 Ferrari Sells For 7 Million Euros 19th May, 2008 | |||||

Car enthusiasts and Ferrari collectors from across the globe descended on Maranello, Italy, this past weekend for the annual “Ferrari Leggenda e Passione” event. On Sunday 18th May a collection of historic Ferraris and Maseratis gathered at the home of the Prancing Horse. The top bid of an amazing €7,040,000 ($11,492,356 AUD), by a collector from England, secured the sale of a 1961 Ferrari 250 GT California Spyder. Yesterday's bid surpassed the previous record for a used Ferrari, set in 1990, for a 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO at US$10,756,000. | ||||||
