E-Vade On Track
22nd February, 2008 | |||
Australia's new sports car, E-Vade, has undergone its first shakedown trials at VACC Park in Port Melbourne. Due to make its first motor show appearance at 5 PM on Friday 29th February when the Melbourne Motor Show opens, it showed a notable turn of speed on the tight go-kart track. E-Vade builder David Walter, who is the ship's engineer of HMAS Ballarat, also took the finished car to the Tenix naval dockyard at Williamstown where his ship is in drydock. While most attention is focussed on the road-going E-Vade, test driven on the day by Peta Walter, the ferocious track version made a brief and thunderous appearance at VACC Park. The road car will make a preview run in the Motor Show Cavalcade on Wednesday 27th February, departing from the Melbourne Town Hall at noon for a two-hour display in Federation Square. Both cars will complete their chassis tuning after their debut appearance at the Motor Show. |
