But Not As We Know It |
8th March, 2005 Swiss car converter Franco Sbarro has maintained his unique record for producing the most outrageous performance cars and conversions for the Geneva Motor Show with the 2005 event debuting his interpretation of the small Citroën C2, complete with a mid-mounted 165 kW 3.0 litre V6 engine and carbon fibre body. Designed for both road and track use, the Citroën C2 V6 swaps front wheel drive for rear wheel drive with massive 9x19 wheels and 225/55 tyres delivering the tuned Citroën V6 power unit's 165 kW to the road via a five speed manual gearbox. Most of the body is replaced by tailor made carbon fibre body panels, dropping the weight and, combined with the new engine position, turning the C2 from a four to a two seater. Sbarro also displayed a unique version of the Citroën C4 Coupe, with the optional fixed glass roof split into separate panels that, along with the rear window, retract into the boot of the C4 Coupe. Even with the roof full retracted into the boot, 90 per cent of the normal Coupe's boot space is still available. The C4 R-PUR is completed by a unique body kit and 8x19 alloy wheels with 225/35 tyres. |
