Citroen C2 Ninja |
8th July, 2005 Citroën UK built a very special C2, named the Citroën C2 Ninja, for last weekend's Max Power Live, the UK's largest gathering of performance cars, which boasts a very special body and a wild 120 kW engine. Valued at more than $60,000, compared to the normal Australian Citroën C2's $23,490 price tag, the Citroën C2 Ninja has a custom made turbo-charged engine that lifts power from 83 kW to 120 kW, a unique body kit, huge wings and spoilers and bulging wheel arches to accommodate its 18 inch alloy wheels. Inside is a sound system that is more than capable of drowning out all other sounds, while special upholstery and dashboard trim completes the visual feast. Citroën UK's involvement in the Max Power Live show continues what has become a tradition with the British wing of the French car maker thanks to the popularity of its products with performance and tuning fans that started with the Citroën Saxo and has continued with C2, C3 and the newly-arrived-in-the-UK Citroën C1. Nor are Citroën UK's displays at the show static, with stunt driver Paul Swift spending all his time at the show driving around the display area on two wheels in a Citroen C2 VTS at the Citroën-sponsored Cruise Strip. |
