From 25th October, La Poste, the French postal service will be telling Citroën’s story by issuing a book of stamps
aimed at stamp collectors. The 10 stamps reflect the brand’s history through some of its most emblematic models.
Citroën is an iconic brand founded on the pioneering spirit of André Citroën. His innovative technologies, avant-garde
advertisements and endurance records have ensured his legacy remains to this day.
The Traction Avant was a ground-breaking model, while the arrival of the now iconic 2CV coincided with the
introduction of paid holidays in France. The pioneering DS coincided with the post-war economic boom, the Méhari with
flowery shirts and the Xsara with rallying triumph!
Some 95 years later, Citroën continues to harness its creativity and technology to make uniquely designed and
instantly recognisable cars, such as the new C4 Cactus.
La Poste is paying tribute to this history, telling the story of Citroën with the introduction of a complete book of
all 10 stamps, or two collector’s booklets of five stamps.
The stamps will be on advance sale from 2.00pm to 9.30pm on 25th October at Citroën C_42, the brand’s showcase on the
Champs-Elysées.
