The Goodwood Festival of Speed, the motoring event that has
re-written the motor show rule book in Europe and which takes place in the first week of July (1st-4th July
2010), will feature three new Citroen’s strutting their stuff on Goodwood’s legendary hill climb track.
The Festival of Speed is the largest motoring 'garden party' in the world – a unique summer week-end
that always brings together an impressive mix of cars and motor sport celebrities to provide one of the
largest car culture events in the world (way behind the Woodward Dream Cruise in USA though). Held in the
immaculate grounds of Goodwood House in the south of England, this annual hill-climb event is a true
celebration of motor sport and all things automotive. The Festival plays homage to the most significant
cars in the history of international motor sport, with exhibition entry by personal invitation from Lord
March.
New for 2010 is the ‘Moving Motor Show’ on 1st July 2010, which enables motoring enthusiasts and new car
buyers alike to see the very latest models up close, and in some cases, also climb aboard and experience
the vehicles first-hand on a special evaluation route with the extensive grounds of the Goodwood Estate
that includes the world-famous Festival of Speed hill climb. Thus following in the wheel tracks of many
celebrated racing drivers, including Sébastien Loeb, Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton and Sir Stirling Moss.
Making its first appearance in the UK, the eagerly awaited Citroen DS3 Racing will be a main attraction
on Citroën’s show stand. Developed by Citroën Racing - the WRC team with five Manufacturer’s Championship
titles - DS3 Racing is a limited edition model with a 100% sporting pedigree. Powered by a tuned and
turbo-charged 200 hp 1.6 litre THP engine,Citroen DS3 Racing features integrated carbon-trimmed components
and specialist motor sports equipment. To be launched in the UK before the end of this year, the exclusive
DS3 Racing will be limited to just 1,000 production units.

Also making its UK debut is the highly-charged, all-electric Survolt super car concept. A blend of
high-fashion extravagance and motor racing dynamism, Survolt takes the essence of Citroën’s Revolte concept
- performance, cutting-edge technology and luxury - and adds an assertive sporting dimension. Survolt
presents a bold and radical vision for the future of ecologically sensitive, high-performance vehicles.
On display at the Goodwood FoS-TECH pavilion - a showcase for bold and exciting new automotive
technologies - is the sensational Revolte concept. Alongside Survolt, Revolte will highlight Citroën’s
continuing commitment to environmentally conscious motoring - together with some signature design flair.
Revolte will also be taking part in the special low-emissions hill climb adding some distinctive Citroën
panache to the parade of models from a number of other manufacturers.
After its exceptionally popular UK debut at the show in 2009, the GT by Citroen concept will return to
the Festival of Speed’s prestigious Super Car Paddock. Visitors will be amongst a few in the world to see
the model in action as it roars into 'life' up the famous Goodwood hill climb.
The Citroen C4 WRC car will also be making a special appearance on Citroën's show stand. Currently seen
propelling six-time World Rally Champion, Sébastien Loeb, to a possible record-breaking seventh FIA WRC
Driver's title, the C4 WRC car is a living piece of motor sport history. At its official debut in the 2007
Monte-Carlo Rally, the two C4 WRCs finished 1-2. Since its introduction, the C4 WRC car has helped Citroën
secure the 2008 and 2009 WRC Manufacturers' titles - with high expectations of a third consecutive victory
in the 2010 season.
Several examples from the recently launched DS3 range will also be on display on Citroën’s main
stand.
The Goodwood Festival of Speed is being held from 1st-4th July 2010 at Goodwood, England. Entry is
available with a pre-purchased ticket.
