Chrysler and Jeep achieved combined sales of 675 units in February, according to
official industry figures, taking year-to-date sales to 1,284, a five per cent
increase over 2005.
The continued success of the Chrysler 300C drove the solid performance, with
130 units delivered for the month.
Jeep’s flagship model, the Grand Cherokee, also had a strong month with 117
sales, representing a 24 per cent increase over February 2005.
Impressive sales of the PT Cruiser also helped lift the Chrysler brand
performance, 81 deliveries secured the model’s year-to-date sales increase over
2005.
“Both of our brand flagship models performed strongly in February,” said
Gerry Jenkins, managing director, Chrysler Group Australia.
“The Grand Cherokee Navigator pack is providing some inspiring levels of
value in the prestige four-wheel drive segment and the 300C continues to sell at
benchmark levels."
“Interest in the Chrysler marque will only continue to lift with the imminent
arrival of the high performance 300C SRT8,” said Jenkins.
