Chrysler at 2005 Melbourne International Motor Show |
24th February, 2005
Chrysler will display the North American Car of the Year, the Chrysler 300C at the Melbourne International Motor Show, 3rd-14th March, 2005. The display of the 250kW HEMI®-powered V8 Chrysler 300C, which will go on sale in Australia late this year, will be the first opportunity for the Melbourne public to view a production version of the vehicle. The Chrysler 300C will also play a lead role in this year’s Australian V8 Supercar Championships as official safety car, starting 17th March at the Clipsal 500 in Adelaide. The Chrysler 300C will be offered with two engine variants, a 5.7 litre HEMI® V8 and a 3.5 litre high-output V6. Another vehicle that will attract show goers to the Chrysler stand is the 2005 Chrysler Grand Voyager with Stow ‘n Go. The Stow ‘n Go innovation gives customers the ability to easily fold the second and third row seats into the floor in as little as 30 seconds with a simple one-hand operation. The display of the vehicle will give the public the opportunity to experience the 256 possible seating configurations the innovation offers. When the second and third row seats are folded flat into the floor, the Chrysler Voyager provides van like transport capacity. When the seats are upright, the storage bins below offer an additional 340 litres of storage space to keep valuables, groceries and other cargo out of sight and secure. Also on display will be the PT Cruiser and the Crossfire. |
