Chrysler and Jeep Go from Strength to Strength |
|
6th July, 2004 Following on from strong retail results year to date, Chrysler and Jeep have achieved combined sales of 594 units in June taking year to date sales to 3,617 - a 13 per cent increase on last year's figure. Second quarter sales were up 6 per cent, giving Chrysler Jeep its second consecutive quarter of increased year-over-year sales. The strong result was supported by the continuing popularity of the Jeep Cherokee (sales were up 41 per cent over 2003) and Jeep Wrangler models (up 40.5 per cent). The positive trend is reflected globally. Chrysler Group worldwide sales for June were up 10,290 units over 2003 (an increase of 5 per cent) and the group’s monthly sales have increased for eight of the past nine months Bradley Fitzsimmons, Chrysler Jeep National Sales Manager noted, "The consistent monthly sales results and the rise in retail sales for the quarter showcase the broad appeal of our products and provides further evidence of the increasing popularity of both brands." With the Jeep Grand Cherokee having just been voted ‘The World’s Best Off-Roader’ by the United Kingdom’s leading off-road magazine ‘4x4’ (see story), Chrysler Jeep continues to go from strength to strength. |
