Chrysler will display a full production version of its all-new Chrysler 300C at the Australian International Motor Show (7th–17th October, 2004). The company flew the Chrysler 300C from the US especially for the show. Since being launched in the US, the 300C, equipped with Chrysler’s popular V8 Hemi engine, has become America’s “in” sedan, with monthly sales volumes reaching levels of over 12,000 units. The 300C marks Chrysler’s re-entry into the premium saloon segment, providing customers in Australia with a genuine alternative in a segment where the options have traditionally been limited. Gerry Jenkins, Managing Director, Chrysler Jeep Australia, said that the Chrysler 300C will arrive in Australia in late 2005. “Its introduction marks an important new chapter in the evolution of our brand and is one of the most important episodes of our continuing product offensive, which by 2007 will give the Chrysler brand it’s most competitive line-up ever in Australia,” noted Jenkins. Australia will offer two engine variants including:
Another car that will attract Motor Show goers to the Chrysler stand is the new Crossfire Roadster. The stunning Crossfire Roadster offers two transmission options, a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic with AutoStick®, and combines good looks with a powerful 3.2-litre V6 engine, a powered fabric roof and super-stiff bodyshell, all for a recommended retail price (RRP) for both transmission options of $75,990. “Chrysler 300C and Crossfire Roadster are strong reflections of the brand DNA. The distinctive new Chrysler look and spirited, powerful performance will shape the image of the brand worldwide and will further boost our reputation as one of the most innovative and passionate automobile companies,” Jenkins concluded. |
