23rd September, 2004 From 27th September to 2nd October 2004, the 10th National Chrysler Rally will take place in Geelong, Victoria. The event, which is organised by the Chrysler Restorers Club of Australia, takes place every three years, and will see around 150 Chrysler vehicles and 350 enthusiasts from around Australia gather to tour through some of the regions scenic parts and to enjoy everything that is Chrysler. From the Monday through to the Friday, participants will take part in a series of day drive trips to places like Ocean Grove, Lorne, Colac and the You Yangs, with each day ending up back at the Chrysler Rally base in Geelong. The Rally culminates on Saturday 2nd October with a spectacular display day on the lawns at Werribee Mansion, where the heritage of the brand, in the form of 170 classic Chryslers, will be on show alongside Chrysler's current line up. The exciting Hemi powered V8 Chrysler 300C, which goes on sale in Australia late 2005, will also be on display. Many of the cars on the Rally are very unique. Some specific examples include a '37 and '39 Imperial and a '39 Royal which has been on every Chrysler Rally since they began 30 years ago. Without enthusiasts like these people, a part of history could be lost." "Chrysler has built a reputation for bringing daring and exciting concept cars into reality and onto the showroom floor. The display day will allow the public to enjoy some of the unique products the brand has produced over the years." “With the Crossfire Roadster having recently arrived and the exciting 300C on the horizon, right now is one of the most exciting times in the brand’s 80-year history.” Some of the unique cars on the Rally include Chrysler Rally Display Day: |
