  • Spacious interior with large load-swallowing capacity
  • Dynamic and agile chassis from 530i sedan

  • 190 kW straight-six 3.0-litre power
  • Sub-7-second 0-100km/h performance

BMW Group Australia has announced pricing for the BMW 530i Touring.

Powered by the new generation N52 straight-six cylinder VALVETRONIC engine, producing 190 kW, the glamorous, sporty BMW is priced from $114,800.

An optional Sport package model is priced from $118,800.

This comprises the M Aerodynamics kit, sport suspension (incorporating self-levelling rear suspension), 18-inch x 8 J M light alloy wheels on runflat 245/40 R18 tyres, M Sport steering wheel, M door sills, Individual anthracite roof lining, sport seats, interior trim strips in Aluminium cube Pure and satin chrome for exterior window surrounds.

Specification is in line with the equivalent E60 530i sedan, with the additional flexibility of the five-door Touring.

It comprises a palette of innovation and driver-friendly features.

The advanced features include BMW-developed Active Steering, and the lightweight aluminium suspension and aluminium front body structure that enhances dynamic responses when driving hard. The 530i Touring weighs in at a modest 1,590 kg.

Standard equipment includes 17-inch light alloy wheels, cruise control, rain sensor, leather upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats with driver memory, colour monitor with radio navigation, CD in dash and CD changer and leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel adjustable for rake and reach.

The Touring body shape lends itself extremely well to the latest 5 Series styling, creating an elongated profile.

Typical Touring features carried over to the new generation vehicle include roof rails, completely flat rear floor, 60/40 split fold rear seats and the useful opening tailgate window function.

The spacious rear compartment swallows 500-litres of luggage with all seats in place and up to 1,650-litres with the rear seats folded.

Unique Touring optional features include the two-section Panorama glass roof whose trailing edges can be raised to increase ventilation flow. The Panorama roof heightens the already light and airy sensation in the cabin.

Also available as an option is the storage compartment package that enables the rear section of the luggage compartment floor to be raised vertically in the direction of the rear seats dividing the rear area into two distinct zones. The side of the divider that faces the rear features additional fold-out dividers for securing loose goods.

Further options include a Ski bag and rear side window blinds.

The new 190 kW engine produces peak power at 6,600 rpm and a maximum torque of 300 Nm between 2,500 rpm and 4,000 rpm.
