Audi’s second generation A6 allroad quattro has arrived in Australia.

Comfortable and capable on the road or off the beaten track, the new A6 allroad quattro keeps going when the bitumen ends. The new A6 allroad quattro is priced at $106,000 (RRP). Capable of moving people literally and figuratively, the second generation of Audi’s successful all-terrain vehicle boasts 171 kilowatts of power and an impressive 450 Nm of torque.

Powered by a 3.0 TDI engine, coupled to a six-speed tiptronic transmission, this latest-generation diesel engine technology features a common-rail injection system and piezo injectors and is united with a highly effective exhaust emission control, known as a diesel particulate filter (DPF).

Its expressive and emotional appearance and capable character perfectly highlights its flexible personality and power even when stationary. Dynamic lines convey the vehicle’s sporty characteristics, and a prominent new feature is the unique interpretation of the single-frame grille. The vertical chrome-trimmed bars ensure the registration plate appears to be suspended mid-grille.

The striking aluminium roof rails and off-road styling elements such as a prominent stainless steel undertray for engine protection and wide, flared wheel arches harmoniously integrate a sense of robust character with a nonetheless stylish appearance.

The A6 allroad quattro is longer (+124 mm) and wider (+10 mm) than its predecessor. Its wheelbase has been extended by 76 mm benefiting front and rear passengers, along with additional shoulder room (+ 23 mm in front, + 6 mm at rear) and more room between seats (+ 40 mm at front and + 20 mm at rear). The more spacious and versatile luggage compartment designed for maximum functionality, offers up to 1,660 litres of load space (+70 litres) with the rear seats folded down. A twin rail securing system and extensive storage packages provide ample storage space and tie-down facilities.

The variable air suspension features five driving modes and can be raised by up to 60 mm above its resting position, ensuring the A6 allroad quattro lives up to its name.
