Audi A3 Cabriolet Confirmed for Australia
21st February, 2008 | ||||
The new Audi A3 Cabriolet has been confirmed for release in Australia later this year. Combining eye-catching looks with the exhilaration of wind-in-your-hair driving, the Audi A3 Cabriolet boasts a semi-automatic lightweight soft top (a fully-automatic version is available as an option) which opens in just nine seconds. When open, it takes up very little space thanks to its Z-shaped fold, facilitating a sporty, yet harmonious vehicle design. The body structure of this luxury Audi convertible contains a high proportion of high-strength and ultra-high-strength steels as well as a multitude of reinforcing measures that provide maximum rigidity and crash safety. The A3 Cabriolet easily fits 4 people. The large single-frame grille and the headlights dominate the front of the convertible compact model. The standard daytime running lights make the Audi design unmistakable. Audi’s latest Cabriolet will be launched in Australia around July 2008. The car will be available in several engine variants including a 1.6-litre manual, 1.8 TFSI S tronic and 2.0 TFSI manual and S tronic variants. Pricing and specification will be released closer to the launch date. Audi Australia expects to sell approximately 120 new A3 Cabriolets in 2008. |
