3rd November, 2005 Following the company’s 10th consecutive month of record sales, Audi Australia has leapt the 4,000 units year-to-date hurdle following October sales results. Total sales for the month ended at 404 vehicles, up 62 percent on October 2004 results. Year-to-date, cumulative sales of Audi vehicles now stand at 4,001 units, or an increase of 41 percent compared with the same period last year. Audi Centre Brisbane currently leads the sales results for the national Audi Dealer Network. The Audi A3 Sportback, A4 and A6 model lines all performed strongly, and following its unveiling at the Australian International Motor Show last month, the new Audi Q7 was the focus of much attention for the brand. The company officially commenced its pre-order process for the new Q7 SUV at the Australian International Motor Show and deposits have already been placed for this vehicle, which will be launched in 2006. Audi’s managing director, Joerg Hofmann, is well-pleased with the company’s achievement to-date and is confident of a strong finish to the year. “With just two months to go, we are well on our way to exceeding our goal of 4,600+ vehicles this year,” Mr Hofmann said. “From the very beginning of the year, we kicked off with a fast start and have kept the pace up for 10 months in a row. A combination of high quality product, key new models, dynamic sales strategies and a focussed and dedicated team has seen us achieve our goals month-on-month,” Mr Hofmann said. October also saw the announcement of a new diesel model for Australia with the company’s impressive A4 2.0 TDI multitronic, priced at $56,990. Also added to the company’s range of sought-after sports performance models in October was the new A3 Sportback 2.0 TFSI quattro manual at $50,550. In November, Audi will launch the superlative new S4 high-performance sedan.
