South Australian police have confirmed a 26-year-old Para Hills West man
has been reported for driving offences after being spotted by police 'driving' a motorised ice box.
A SA Police motor cycle officer was on patrol about 6.45pm yesterday when he saw the unusual vehicle - the pictured
'motorised cooler' - being driven through a shopping centre car park.
The officer spoke to the driver and warned him that the cooler could not be legally driven on roads.
However, a short time later the officer saw the man driving the 'cooler' on Northcote Drive, Para Hills.
It will be alleged that further checks showed that the driver did not have a drivers licence (nor was the cooler
registered or insured).

The cooler is a novelty product and cannot be legally registered in South Australia and cannot be driven on roads –
information which was clearly displayed on the cooler.
The ice box driver was reported for driving unlicenced, and driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle and will be
summonsed to appear in court at a later date.
The cooler was impounded.
"Police would like to remind the public that these novelty motor vehicles which includes the likes of 'pit bikes',
'motorised eskies' and the likes cannot be registered and therefore cannot be legally driven or ridden on the road,"
Senior Sergeant Nils Uellendahl, the officer in charge of the SA Police Traffic Operations Section, said.
"They are for private property novelty use only and can be a danger to the drivers and other road users."
